A local business in the DMV area known as PLNTR, founded by Caitlin Tuttle and James Beach,  work together as gardeners, consultants and designers in a startup which connects local farmers to their community. Together they organized a “pop-up” plant mission in DC, April 10, 2021.

Although Washington National Cathedral is temporarily closed to normal operations from the COVID-19 pandemic, priests administered communion in a walk-up style fashion outside for those who wanted to engage in traditional Easter celebrations. Others enjoyed time on the lawn observing the day and nice weather, April 4, 

People came out to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C. over the weekend, as local authorities considered closing the area due to COVID concerns. Only road access was diverted through peak season, March 30, 2021.
