Anthony Peltier is a Washington, D.C.-based documentary photographer and videographer specializing in political, cultural, and editorial coverage. He began his career on the 2016 presidential campaign trail as a freelance video journalist, which led him to relocate from Minneapolis to the nation’s capital in 2017. Since 2022, he has worked full-time on Capitol Hill, capturing everything from floor votes and protests to presidential press events.
With technical training from the Brown Institute and additional studies in photojournalism and journalism at George Washington University, Anthony is now completing his bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University while maintaining an active freelance career. His work has appeared with the Associated Press, Newsmax, Fox 5 DC, WUSA9, Agence France-Presse, and the Mayo Clinic.
Anthony’s path into journalism was far from traditional — he began without a college degree or financial backing, relying on persistence, adaptability, and a deep commitment to his craft. He’s known for his calm under pressure, technical skill in live production environments, and his ability to capture moments that reveal the human side of power in Washington.
